Russell takes on the role of Chairman from July 2010 after being Youth Development Officer since he joined the club in 2006 as a coach to the then U11 Scorpions when he moved into Chorleywood. His son Joshua joined the Scorpions at the same time.
Russell successfully completed The FA Level 1 Coaching Course in June 2006 and then went straight onto and successfully completed the FA Level 2 course in July 2007. He is also a member of the FA Coaches Association.
He has a keen interest in the development of players at all ages but has a real passion for the development of young footballers from the ages of 5-11 years.
Russell launched our Saturday Soccer school early in 2008 for 5+6 year old players which has taken off with great success.
Russell is a season ticket holder at his adopted team Watford but his heart remains with Nottingham Forest with whom he played as a junior.
As a day job Russell is a Partner in Turbervilles solicitors who are based in Uxbridge but who have recently opened an office in Chorleywood. |
